The Wild Friends students did it again! The students voted to work on insect education for the 2026 New Mexico Legislative session, and helped to draft SM3 (Berghmans) and HM26 (Ortez), which called for more education about the importance of insects, including a workshop for state agencies about the critical role that insects play in our lives, and how they can be conserved. With students testifying as expert witnesses and speaking with legislators from across the House and the Senate, both memorials passed with overwhelming support. Way to go, Wild Friends!
