Our students are excited to announce that their Citizen Science memorial (HM 34) has passed! The memorial asks that the NM Department of Game and Fish, the State Land Office, State Parks Division, and other interested organizations such as NM Natural Heritage, participate in a Working Group managed by the Wild Friends program, to determine what is needed in order to use citizen science across the state. It also asked that the Legislature supports the creation of a pilot project on state lands using all citizens, including youth.
